Joanne Canning has a highly professional arts background:
1978 – 1992 The Australian Ballet Co., The Australian Opera Co. – The Merry Widow tour with Joan Sutherland. The Dancers Co. Principle roles: Nutcracker, Gisselle, Monotones and One in five. Soloist: Swan Lake, Kettentanze, Spartacus, Sleeping Beauty, Poems, City Dancers, Suit-en-blanc, Our Waltzes, Ballet Imperial, Tales of Hoffman, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Symphony In D, Take That and Signatures and many more Corps des ballet
Joanne gained her qualifications as a doctor in 2016 involving neuroscience, genetics and intervention for those with “Special Needs”. Her work in wellbeing, health and arts engagement has involved brokerage for policy with the Victorian Government and she is currently engaged as a Post-doctoral Fellow and sessional Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Victoria University.
