Kim grew up on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. At 14, she began full time dance studies, completing a Diploma of Performing Arts at the Sunshine Coast Academy of Dance Arts. During this time, Kim was involved in local theatrical productions of ‘Cats’ and ‘Shout.’
Kim then moved to Melbourne to continue studies at the National Theatre Ballet School. Since graduating in 2010 with a Diploma of Arts in Classical Dance.
Kim has continued studying Contemporary dance and Choreography through workshops and lessons at Chunky Move, Dancehouse and BalletLab and is currently completing a Bachelor in Fine Arts (Dance) at the Victorian College of the Arts.
She was involved in working with Chunky Move on a youth dance program, called ‘It Sounds Silly’ in 2011.
Kim’s passion for teaching youth has been a strong drive in her career thus far and continues to aid in the exploration of developing the next generation of young dance artists.
Kim joined the National Theatre Ballet School teaching staff in 2011.
